The largest lighting fair in Europe, which lights up every two years, has just finished. Euroluce has always been an excellent platform for meetings and business. But, above all, it is an important incubator for trends and inspiration.

First impressions.

Emotion has been the leitmotif of this year’s designs. The exhibitors successfully explored ways to achieve a balance between functionality and emotion, i.e., between the need to illuminate a space and the physical and emotional perception of the space.

We are witnessing how the designs of contemporary lighting are ever more focused on the maximum customization. New technologies and intelligent solutions serve to adapt light to the activities and type of space in question. Designs that adapt to needs and provide the maximum physical and emotional wellbeing are predominant.

New trends

Milan surprised us with the sensation that different brands and manufacturers exhibited their products and designs with a common denominator: To reinterpret objects through the exploration of new materials. White, black and metallic colours reinvent the basic shapes that have an impressive final result.

Lamps conceal their technological complexity beneath their structure, making the light the sole protagonist.
